County-to-County
Camden County spearheaded the Tri-County Economic Development Summit with Burlington and Gloucester Counties to promote the region and further, is conducting a feasibility study of wi-fi service for the tri-county region.  The provision and expense of the Medical Examiner’s Office is now shared by Camden, Gloucester and Salem County Medical Examiners Office.

Municipality-to-Municipality
Camden County continues to look for cost-saving measures to decrease the tax burden on county and municipal taxpayers.  The Shared Services Office provides educational forums and technical assistance to municipalities and is currently assisting in feasibility discussions with six (6) adjacent police departments to streamline and improve the delivery of police service, the construction of one (1) municipal complex to house two (2) municipalities, the transition to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) from analog for county telephony and provision to other local government units and, economies of scale in an expanded cooperative purchasing initiative for vehicles, among other initiatives
